From SupportAssist the driver that is having issues is the NVidia GeForce GTX 960 Driver. I have been experiencing numerous lookup / system freezes on my XPS 8910 over the last couple of months, almost daily now, resulting in a BSOD, DPCWatchdogViolation (133) code. The primary use for my desktop is for gaming (though I also use it for Android development/coding) - which is why I use the DCH drivers. XPS 8910, Nvidia GTX 960 driver 9125, fails to install. After that I noticed that there was a newer nVidia driver out - 196.21.
I then went into The Windows Experience and refreshed.

The DCH drivers are also WHQL-certified the difference is that the DCH drivers are also Game-Ready drivers the non-DCH drivers are not (and are meant for non-gaming uses). I recently (re)installed a GTX260 video card in my system and loaded the nVidia 195.62 driver package.

Please see the latest release notes for instructions on compatible driver versions: To Install the NVIDIA Display Driver: Run the NVIDIA Display Driver installer. However, NVIDIA Nsight Visual Studio Edition requires an updated version of the driver in order to function properly.
I have never had any issues installing the drivers using GeForce Experience except this time, and I do not want the DCH driver installed, I much prefer the WHQL versions. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card installed on your target machine, you probably already have an NVIDIA display driver. Nvidia support is poor, they suggested that I remove the GPU and re-seat it into a different PCI-E slot if possible (not possible due to the water cooling loop), then they suggested that I create a new windows profile and try to install the driver that way, neither of which I have done. Installation went well until Geforce 2080 Ti installation using the official driver from website kept failing to install the control panel.
I managed to get 445.87 installed by using DDU to remove all traces of the drivers installed, then rebooted without the Ethernet cord plugged in (so Windows update would not try to install the driver). When trying to install drivers for an NVIDIA GPU, either for the first time or to update drivers that are already on the computer, if the installation of the drivers should fail, the user is met with the NVIDIA Installer failed screen that depicts which of the components included in the driver package failed to be installed and providers the option to close the installer. If you are persistently getting 'Nvidia Installer Failed' or cannot install or uninstall the PhysX drivers, with the Clean Install option, or with running the PhysX installer separately, this could be a problem with the Windows WMI being corrupt or a registry corruption. Sorry, I am attempting to install 446.14 WHQL on an Asus RTX 2070.
